Dr. Collin Clark received all three of his post-secondary degrees from Florida State University, including a Bachelor (B.M.E.), Master (M.M.E), and PhD in Music Education. Between his bachelor’s degree and graduate school experience he taught high school music in Jacksonville, Florida with courses including Band, Choir, Piano, and Guitar. During his graduate education, Dr. Clark served as an associate conductor for the FSU Bands, assistant to the Marching Chiefs, and teaching assistant for undergraduate and graduate level music education courses where he supervised students in their student teaching and guided students through their music education degree.

In addition to his conducting and teaching experience in his graduate school education, Dr. Clark also served as a research assistant. Working with Dr. David Knapp and a non-profit partner, Music Will, he participated in multiple cross-institutional research projects examining the role and accessibility of music education in addition to helping secure an NEA grant to further their line of research. As the team’s data analyst, Dr. Clark built his experience working with large administrative data sets and quantitative data analysis.

In addition to his research Dr. Clark has presented numerous posters and spoken presentations at conferences including College Band Directors National Association National Conference (CBDNA), Desert Skies Research Symposium, Florida Music Educators Association Conference (FMEA), and the National Association for Music Education National Conference (NAfME).

Dr. Clark is also and avid supporter and enthusiast of community music programs. He has served as a member or as rehearsal assistant for multiple community music groups including the First Coast Wind Symphony, Big Orange Barbershop Chorus, Cypress Village Retirement Community Choir, Tallahassee Winds, and the Tallahassee Community Chorus.
