Peter Romney is a cellist and music teacher currently located in the Washington County Area. Having switched from the violin at age six, Peter made music the main focus of his childhood. He successfully graduated from all ten Suzuki books under the guidance of Richard Hoyt in Salt Lake City, and competed in the Utah State Fair six consecutive years, receiving an honorable mention at age 13 for his performance of the Saint-Saƫns concerto in A minor. He also performed and toured with the Young Artists Chamber Players, the Valley String Quartet, and on his own. Since high school, Peter has performed with various jazz and alternative music ensembles, most recently Theta Naught, with whom he recorded four studio albums and completed three tours of the western US. His studio, Bass Clef Talent Education, is located in St. George, Utah.
