The Utah Tech University Chamber Singers is an auditioned ensemble of 24-28 singers directed by Dr. Roger Hale. The group consists of undergraduates majoring in a variety of areas. The Chamber Singers focus on creating stunning performances of a wide variety of choral literature. As an outreach ensemble for the music department, the Chamber Singers recently toured Northern Utah presenting a number of successful performances to a variety of appreciative audiences. The Chamber Singers were invited to perform at the spring 2016 and 2018 Utah Music Educators Association (UMEA) conferences. Under Dr. Hale’s direction, the UT Chamber Singers are establishing a unique tradition of tonal beauty, blend and choral excellence in the region.
The Utah Tech University Concert Choir is a large, mixed, non-auditioned ensemble that performs a wide variety of repertoire. This group is open to singers of any major. Frequently performing with the Utah Tech Symphony Orchestra (DSSO), this ensemble performs larger choral works in the beautiful Eccles Concert hall as well as the Cox Performing Arts Center.
The Utah Tech Women’s Chorus offers a unique opportunity to singers of any major to sing beautiful choral repertoire from a wide variety of genres and time-periods. The members of this ensemble form a tight-knit community that offers singers an opportunity to develop healthy vocal technique, music literacy, and sing exciting and fun music. You will love singing in this group.
