Introduction
- Lisa Chaufty (recorder & traverso), Pamela Jones (harpsichord), Ambrynn Bowman (viola da gamba) and Richard Jones (viola da gamba) and Ka-Wai Yu (baroque cello & viola da gamba) will present the festival artist recital in Grace Episcopal Church, St George on March 26 (Sunday) at 7pm, as the opening event of the Southern Utah Early Music Festival 2023. Do not miss these artists’ wonderful rendition of music by such composers as Purcell, Marais, Elizabeth de la Guerre, Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, Diego Ortiz and Telemann! Freewill donation welcome.
- Prof. Chaufty and Dr. Jones will present a baroque performance workshop at 11am in the Sears Art Museum, Utah Tech University on March 27 (Monday). Event open to the public – free admission.
- Finally, the UT Early Music Ensemble will be joined by the University of Utah Early Music Ensemble to present a final concert at 7:30pm in Dunford Auditorium on March 27. The program will include music from the Medieval Times to Baroque Period. Concert open to the public – free admission.
